Psychological Thriller

The movie Sucker Punch has been described by some as a psychological thriller...I just watched it for the first time today and the ending quote from the movie truly spoke to me....

"And finally, this question...The mystery of whose story it will be...Of who draws the curtain.
Who is it that chooses our steps in the dance? Who drives us mad, lashes us with whips and crowns us with victory when we survive the impossible? Who is it...that tells all these things?

Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us and at the same time sings that we'll never die? Who teaches us what's real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us and who holds the key that can set us free?

It's you! You have all the weapons you need. Now fight!"

If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes

This saying is haunting me.  It is a cliche but TRUE.   IF NOTHING CHANGES....NOTHING CHANGES.  Something so simple yet a concept that seems so foreign and complex to me.  All the medicine in the world will never change our thought process.  The only one that can change it is us.

Quotes

The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books—-a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects.

Quotes

A quote from Albert Einstein:

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the
rational mind is a faithful servant.
We have created a society that honors
the servant and has forgotten the gift.
